Greg Mortenson signs books after speaking at Virginia Tech University.

After speaking to a full auditorium at Virginia Tech University in Blacksburg Virginia, Greg Mortenson, co-author of the NY Times bestseller, "Three Cups of Tea", took a moment from his book signing to share a few private moments with Kia Scherr, and pose for this photo. While Kia was explaining who she was, and what the One Life Alliance hoped to accomplish, Greg stood up, rounded his desk to embrace her, commenting, “Thank you for coming out so soon to support peace.” His genuine offer of help has helped forge a new relationship, placing Mortenson on the top of the “Heroes of Humanity” list, a group of people who the One Life Alliance identifies as the world inspirational leaders, those who will create the change in the world by example.
