Kia Scherr becomes a board member of Express Care

Two women of heart join missions, combining their compassions to bring about great change.

March 12, 2010: Kia Scherr becomes a board member of Express Care, a humanitarian non-profit organization dedicated to "Reaching our world one person at a time." Express Care provides food, school supplies, prescribed medicines, scholarships for adult education, after school homework tutoring and professional training in personal care, computer skills and English to refugees from over five countries. Naila Alam, the founder and director of Express Care, has received the White House Honor of Hope Award and the Champion of Compassion Award. She is also a member of the One Life Alliance Honorary Board of Advisors. Kia and Naila are collaborating to expand Express Care to a wider scale and to further the message of One Life Alliance to Muslim communities and Government leaders in the Washington, DC area.
