Moments of Connection

I worked on the 105th floor of World Trade One daily for a year until March 2001. If my consulting job had not ended on time, I might have left my kids along and died with the 200-300 people I knew - some just daily smiles from floor guards, 101 floor cafeteria workers, maintenance workers, support staff, IT consultants; some worked with more closely as I interviewed teams of Cantor traders in about 50 different units and worked with them to write web page descriptions of their work. For months, their faces flashed continuously in my mind. One day several years later, I was in another company's cafeteria when the sight of a young cashier threw my mind back to the young cashiers in World Trade One. People I only saw for a minute or less on some days. I saw again the in my mind the face of one cashier who carefully kept for me my food money card I had forgotten ... then I remembered the guy at the pizza counter so proudly letting us know about his great speciality - people who had to get to work in time for the breakfast shift... then the face of the maintenance man, so serious and unintrusive as he fixed a light near my desk until I say hi - then his warm greeting... then the flood of faces of the lost filled me with their presence. And again, I realized how very precious each moment is with others. Even the simplest moments. But so often we rush through our moments, unaware of the deep connection between us. Our oneness as we operate separate bodies while in this dimension.

Life is sacred because it is our physical connection with divine source, or whatever you may deem to call it. We are by lineage divine and in this dense form we call humanity, we are suppose to reconnect with source and rebirth that divinity into this world by our actions.

First, honor life in yourself.
Second, honor life in everyone (each other).
Third, honor life in all and everything... the manifest universe that surrounds us.
